    Musings: Some-Bunny Special

Let’s get crafty! But in the least amount of time and money type of craft…if you get my drift. I love to craft, but my schedule doesn’t permit extreme crafting. So I tend to craft on the fly. Maybe with a little inspo from a pin here or there, but mostly I just make them up as I go. Last year, I shared Musings: Boycott Easter Candy. Sounds kind of negative, but really it was just a way for me to avoid giving lovebugs more candy when they get tons of eggs (dare I say close to 75/each) full of candy and some money. It was a fun way to give…

Race Recap: Giant Race Riverfront 5k

Only running for my beloved G-Men! I haven’t run, really run, in probably six months or so. I don’t count the soccer field, because that is a different type of running. It’s not continuous, even though it kicks my ass. My rule this year was to only run any or all of the Giant Race series. I may have changed this a bit, but there won’t be too many races in my 2017 future. I still can’t get over how the SF Giants AAA team is right in my backyard. As if that wasn’t awesome enough, they added a race to support my favorite team. No brainer, obviously. Last year…

    Musings: Boycott Easter Candy

Okay, I’m not Bummer Bunny or anything… …but I feel like every year all the kids in our families and L receive tons of candy for Easter. To change it up this year, I decided to gift something else. I’m sure I’m not the first person to do this, so I’m NOT claiming rights to my crafty idea, but I thought I’d share what I am giving to the Lovebugs this year. I decided that books were a great gift for the kidlets. Yes, they’d love candy way more than that. I want something better than five seconds of gratification — AND I know that others will gift candy, so…

    Rose & Thorn [44]

A full heart..and belly! Rose: An entire weekend with my family! Thorn: Relationship stuff with. I had no idea this weekend would so wonderful. I was able to spend the whole weekend with my immediate family and our little family. We definitely kept ourselves busy all weekend, out and about, but it was time well spent with those that I love. The high and low of this weekend was extreme, but feel renewed today with a full heart.   This has the potential to put you to sleep with its length, feel free to just skip the text and look at the pics 😉 Friday I was really hoping we’d…

    Co-Dependency

Comes in all forms. Via The Lent struggle has been real. I’m sure most people reserve codependency for another human or humans. In my case, my enabler is also actual culprit – the foods that enable me to a lesser woman. I am not mocking this word or situation, in the slightest. Just to see if I was using the word correctly, I went to the Intranets and went to the all know-er source of Wikipedia for the following definition: Codependency: Codependent relationships are a type of dysfunctional helping relationship where one person supports or enables another person’s addiction, poor mental health, immaturity, irresponsibility, or under-achievement. Just as a refresher, since it was…

    Lenten Season

Trust me, I’m the farthest from the ‘religious type’. It’s just not something I chose to talk about very often or on the blog. The Lenten season is probably the only time I’ll talk about religion here. This might even be the first time I’ve actually dedicated a post to it. I’m sure I’ve spoken about it passing, but not actually wrote my feelings and thoughts down. I’m slightly embarrassed because I was not raised going to a specific church, on a regular basis. I did attend the occasional Mass with my Grandma. Sadly, at that age, the idea of spending the night at Grandma’s and fast food after church…

    SomeBunny Had an Egg-cellent Weekend

Yeah, I went that cheesy on you!! Easter weekend, what a great weekend. Always filled with family, good times, and good food! I completely spaced, that on Friday’s before big holiday’s, my company usually only makes us work a half day. So while I was at lunch, I received a text from my boss saying I didn’t have to come back if I didn’t want too. I did, but only to bring my co-worker the Jamba Juice I picked up for her and to wrap up a few minute details. Then I was off. Sadly, I didn’t do anything productive, BUT I did go over to one of my faves’…
