    Race Recap: Run for a Safe Haven 2014

    Not every race is a race. Something that, somewhere in the depths of my running sole, I get this, but my mind never truly understands. But this year, this race, I accepted it. I didn’t try to kill myself on this 5k, I ran it to run it and that was good enough for me! That being said, unless I am out of town or sick, I will run this race every year.     Race Recap: Super Sunday Run 10k

    First race of the year! Obligatory race IG collage! Since my 49er’s didn’t make it, why not get my run on…since I’m not that vested in the game. I’d be lying if I didn’t also admit that SRA had a special if you bundled this race with their 10 miler race, you got a discount ($60 total). So really, I’m just sad my boys in red and gold weren’t playing in the big game! Sacramento Running Association is well known locally, but is more recognizable as the organization that puts on the California International Marathon.     I Love New (Running) Clothes!

    The glitz and glam of new shoes is great! Untillllll….you take them out on your first few runs and your feet are burning, your calves are crazy tight, and your runs feel snail paced! Okay, yes I have a case of #firstworld probs and probably #runnerprobs here, but is it wrong to wish that new running shoes came broken in? I think its the combo of breaking in new shoes and new Superfeet.
