Cali Girl Does Seattle – Día Dos

So not Sleepless in Seattle… We slept in longer than we ever sleep in at home. YES! We also walked a million more times than we do at home too. So, Tuesday was J’s day to plan out for the trip. The only caveat was that I had booked lunch already, months in advance. That being said, I can’t wait to relive our adventure. Tuesday 8AM, that’s adult sleeping in. We had lunch reservations at 11:30AM, so we knew we better get going if we wanted to do anything beforehand. J found a place that sells legit coffee and donuts, he’s my hero! We threw on comfy’s and walked to Top…

Cali Girl Does Chicago – Part Une

When work calls… …you GO! The Windy City. Chi Town. Chicago. Whatever you prefer to call it, was my home for six days. My time spent in the Windy City can be described as — a little fun (being a tourist) and lots(ish) of work! Cheesy Moment Alert: This was J and I’s first flight together.    Since I don’t travel often for work, I forget how important a direct flight can be. Traveler’s Note: Southwest uses…

Yay for a 3.5 day weekend. 0.5 you ask, yes, my lovely, awesome, super cool company let’s us out after half of the day (usually) on the day before a big Holiday! Although, we are implementing a new ERP system, so I’m not sure this will be the case. I’m really, really, really hoping so – because I have a hair appointment scheduled at 1PM! No, we are the state or a government job,…

    5 Things Friday

Apparently, I wasn’t so original with this idea… Either I knew subconsciously or I saw it somewhere and thought it was catchy! Damn, I thought I was pretty original, but I guess I’ll have to try again! Here is the originator of Five Things Friday . Thanks, Clare! 1. Girlfriends – I saw the cutest thing on Pinterest. It had the quote “Thank you for being my unbiological sister”! That is the perfect way to put how I feel about my girl friends. I have met and established an amazing group of girls/women in my life. Each one of them beautiful inside and out, but all with fun and different…

Wasn’t There Some Big Game this Weekend?!

We all know the real Super Bowl was between my 49er’s and the Seahawks… I digress, oh well! This weekend started off great. Friday marked the new lunar year for half of my blood line. So to celebrate the year of the Horse (Momma’s year), we went out to enjoy some Chinese food with the parentals and my uncle, aunt, and cousin. We ate super early, like senior citizen early, but it was probably the best decision we could make – the service is super slow and it is a pretty popular place to frequent, but the food makes up for any of these antics. I missed most of the…
